Today we have had a lovely sunny day. We were able to get to St Lawrence Church, Longridge to add the Altar Cloth for Easter Day Service tomorrow. We have had a couple of small walks and a visit to Preston to the Nightingale Hospital to visit my Dad, and have managed to achieve 6.8 miles.

This has put us from Welcombe Mouth Beach to Hartland Abbey.
Built in the 12thC, Hartland Abbey survived as a monastery longer than any other in the country. In 1539 Henry VIII gifted the Abbey to the Keeper of his Wine Cellar whose descendants still live here today.
